Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente graduated Cum Laude in Biological Sciences and Film Production at USC in Los Angeles. Her vocation to divulge nature was born in her childhood, undoubtedly influenced by the inspirational power of her father.
She spent 5 years in Washington DC, working at the headquarters of National Geographic. In 2004 she created the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Foundation, of which she was director for more than 15 years.
He has led scientific and environmental dissemination projects in a wide range of media such as apps, exhibitions, magazines, online platforms, documentaries, books and guarantee brands for consumer products. He regularly writes articles for the written press, is a lecturer and collaborates with various media outlets such as Afternoons RNE, where he intervened weekly in Espacio Verde 2024/2025 or, At last Jaime Cantizano on Ondacero, where he appears weekly on Somos Naturaleza (currently).
He also participates, on an annual basis, as a lecturer in the UAB's master's degree in travel journalism.
Odile has now focused her outreach efforts on the challenge that climate change poses to humanity. She remains actively involved in conservation through her participation in various advisory committees and working groups. She has been a member of the board of trustees of Rewilding Europe for 9 years, as well as of WWF Spain.
She is currently the president of Rewilding Spain and is a member of the protective committee of The Music of Recycling of Ecoembes chaired by HM. Queen Sofía.
He has published “La huella de Félix” by Grijalbo, “Félix. Un hombre en la tierra” by Geoplaneta, “La historia más fascinante del mundo” by Penguin Random House and “Somos Naturaleza” published by BoldLetters. She has been selected as one of the first “Women Visionaries” of the WILD Foundation's "Women for Wildlife" project and has received several awards and recognitions such as the WOMAN and ELLE award in 2023, as a female figure dedicated to the conservation and dissemination of nature.
Odile gives around 30 lectures a year in the public, private and academic sectors, with the aim of educating and raising awareness of our relationship with nature.
